Landesbank Baden-Württemberg has been using a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system since 2013. This phase marked the beginning of the collaboration between LBBW and ConSecur GmbH, which was commissioned by the bank to develop use cases for the SIEM.

What did ConSecur do?

With ConSecur's best-practice approach, ConSecur has created the basis for today's well-established workflow of internal and external IT specialists, who have been commissioned by the bank to develop use cases for the SIEM.

Use cases increase efficiency

Properly set up use cases greatly increase the efficiency of the SIEM. Incorrect alerts, which tie up the full attention of an IT security analyst for a certain period of time, are significantly reduced. Conversely, threats to the IT infrastructure are immediately recognised as "unusual behaviour" and automatically trigger an alert that sets off a chain reaction.
